HEC Jobs 2026 Total Number of Posts
There are two vacancies in total, one in each category. HEC has also retained the authority to increase or decrease the number of posts depending on its requirements, so the final number may change.
Post-by-Post Details
1. Accountant (BPS-16), 01 Post
HEC has announced one accountant vacancy under its Balochistan Initiative. Candidates who have a valid commerce or business qualification and the required professional experience can consider applying.
- Quota: Balochistan (6% Provincial Quota)
- Age limit: 21 to 30 years. The government gives 5 years’ general relaxation, and Balochistan candidates get another 5 years on top. In practice, the upper age limit works out to 40 years.
- Qualification: B.Com or BBA from a recognized university.
- Experience: Three years of relevant experience in a government, semi-government, or autonomous body.
This is the senior of the two posts. Because of the three-year experience condition, it is appropriate for someone who is already proficient in working in accounts or finance and wants to move into a federal department.
2. Lower Division Clerk (BPS-11), 01 Post
The second vacancy is for a lower division clerk. This position may be appropriate for candidates who have completed matriculation and meet the required typing-speed criteria.
- Quota: Balochistan (6% Provincial Quota)
- Age limit: 18 to 25 years, plus 5 years general relaxation and 5 years additional relaxation for Balochistan. The upper limit comes to 35 years.
- Qualification: Matric with a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute.
- Additional requirement: The selected candidate must complete a 3-week Basic IT Training Course (including MS Office) run by NITB and must pass it within one year of joining.
The LDC post is a good fit for fresh matriculated holders. If your typing is weak, spend the next two weeks practicing, because the speed requirement is not something you can talk your way around.
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, you should meet all of the following:
- You must be a Pakistani national.
- You must hold a valid Balochistan domicile, since both posts fall under the provincial quota.
- Your education must match the post you are applying for (B.Com/BBA for Accountant, Matric for LDC).
- Your age must fall within the limits mentioned above, including relaxations.
- Experience counts only if it was full-time work. Part-time work, honorary work, training programs, and internships will not be counted.
- Government employees can apply, but only through the proper channel.
Application Procedure
HEC is not accepting paper applications, which means documents are in hard copy. Everything is handled online, and decisions are made from the information that you enter in your National Job Portal profile. That is why a negligent or half-filled profile can cost you the job before anyone even reads your name. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and shortlisting is based on the data in your online profile.

- Visit the National Job Portal at njp.gov.pk.
- Create an account if you do not have one, or log in to your existing profile.

FAQs – HEC Jobs 2026
1. What does the 6% Balochistan quota mean in HEC Jobs 2026?
Federal departments set and allocated a fixed share of seats for each province. Under this quota, 6% of regular vacancies are reserved for candidates from the province of Balochistan, so you compete primarily with other Balochistan domicile holders rather than the whole country.
2. Can a candidate from another province apply for the HEC Jobs 2026 Balochistan Quota?
No. These two posts are only reserved for the province of Balochistan, so a domicile from another province will make the application ineligible.
3. Is there a written test for the HEC Jobs 2026 Accountant or LDC post?
The advertisement only mentions a shortlisting and an interview. HEC may add a test or skill check at its own discretion, so keep an eye on your NJP account and email after the closing date.
4. What is the NJP portal, and why is it used for HEC applications?
NJP stands for National Job Portal, a government-run site where federal departments publish vacancies and collect applications in one system. It minimizes paperwork and allows departments to filter candidates by qualification and age.
